Sure-Wood Forest Products-Branding

previous    Project  Project Namenext

About this project

My first job when I started at Sure-Wood was to create a new company logo. Took 7 days to get final approval. The challenge with branding at Sure-Wood was that the company was owned by a woman and we wanted to reflect that in all the branding, but it still had to be masculine.

Skills involved

Most of the logo/branding projects used Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I had a fairly limited color palette to pull from (green, purple, and creme). All the product photography and lifestyle images were taken by me.

Extra information

We did a lot of different promotions for the Home Depots stores around the nation including a nationwide flyer campaign.

Skills involved

Design work was done with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Publication was done using Adobe Indesign and Acrobat. I managed the press production of all print and signage materials with a number of print providers.

Extra information

All these materials went into use in most of The Home Depot stores across the nation.

The Glendalia – Logo

previous    Project  The Glendalia – Logonext

About this project

The Glendalia is a boutique hotel in Glendale, Ohio. The client had originally requested an Art Deco design, though later changed to an Art Nouveau style. I developed a few Art Deco logos, but the one Art Nouveau logo was approved immediately. Only colors were to be decided upon. The design was based on the look of a hanging sign that would identify the hotel from the street.

Skills involved

The concepts for this design were done in Adobe Illustrator. All of the Art Deco designs were done entirely in Illustrator. The final Art Nouveau design was started in Illustrator. To get the look of the flowers, I did watercolors and scanned them into the final design and composed the final look in Adobe Photoshop.

Extra information

This logo is currently the basis for all branding for The Glendalia.

American Forest Products – Logo

Skills involved

This project was developed in Adobe Illustrator. Presentation was created in Adobe Acrobat to email to the client for review.

Extra information

This client was based in Baltimore, MD and was at different locations around the world during the concept process, so all reviews of concepts were done with PDF’s sent through email.
