Sure-Wood Forest Products-Branding

previous    Project  Project Namenext

About this project

My first job when I started at Sure-Wood was to create a new company logo. Took 7 days to get final approval. The challenge with branding at Sure-Wood was that the company was owned by a woman and we wanted to reflect that in all the branding, but it still had to be masculine.

Skills involved

Most of the logo/branding projects used Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I had a fairly limited color palette to pull from (green, purple, and creme). All the product photography and lifestyle images were taken by me.

Extra information

We did a lot of different promotions for the Home Depots stores around the nation including a nationwide flyer campaign.

About this project

Most of the Point-of-Purchase materials I produced for Sure-Wood was for The Home Depot store throughout the nation. This included bay signage, take-home instructional brochures, and a special order catalog vertical book system. These we all produced using a basic style guide from Home Depot which had to be adapted to our product line.

Skills involved

Design work was done with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Publication was done using Adobe Indesign and Acrobat. I managed the press production of all print and signage materials with a number of print providers.

Extra information

All these materials went into use in most of The Home Depot stores across the nation.

About this project

This Rapid Web Based Training course was produced while I was at Sure-Wood Forest Products for The Home Depot. I was in charge of producing the script for the fifteen 90 seconds segments. . The project was distributed to all Home Depot employees across the nation through their online training series. The main footage was shot at the Home Depot Headquarters in their video studio. I also designed the set for the project.

Skills involved

This project utilized the full Adobe Creative Suite. The production book required InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver. The production book I created detailed all the insert images and b-roll footage for each segment within the script. I photographed all the inset images and also shot all the b-roll footage and edited each segment to fit the time frame. Video editing was done using iMovie.

Extra information

This was a great project to work on an I’m sure it greatly influenced Sure-Wood Forest Products being named Home Depot Vendor of the Year that year.
